The End of Day platform

One daily process
from site entry to Finance sign-off.

Give every property the same end-of-day checklist. Site teams complete the record and explain differences. Finance reviews the evidence, agrees any corrections and signs off the business date.

The daily process

Five stages, with clear responsibility at each one.

Sites prepare and submit the record. Daturu compares the payments. Finance reviews any differences and signs off the day.

01

Prepare

Sites enter the daily figures, attach receipts and explain unusual or missing amounts.

02

Submit

The site submits the completed record to Finance.

03

Reconcile

Daturu compares payment totals with the corresponding PMS activity and flags differences.

04

Correct

Finance reviews each difference and records any correction or follow-up required.

05

Confirm

Finance signs off the business date. Daturu keeps the complete audit trail.

The daily site record

Capture the detail the PMS does not explain.

Each property completes the same checklist for its business date. Staff can attach a receipt or note to the relevant entry, so Finance has the supporting detail when it reviews the day.

  • The same checklist for every property and business date
  • Receipts and notes attached to the relevant entry
  • Required fields checked before submission
  • Clear draft, submitted and signed-off statuses
Information prepared by the siteDaily
Tills, online card payments and cash totals
Purchases and receipts
Gift vouchers and non-cash payments
Banking and BACS receipts
Complimentary food and drink
Difference explanations and adjustments
Keep notes and evidence with each entry

Finance can review the supporting detail in Daturu instead of searching through emails and spreadsheets.

Segregation of duties and fraud prevention

Make theft, fraud and errors harder to hide.

Daily reconciliation exposes missing money, unexplained adjustments and repeated differences while staff still remember the day. Separating site entry from Finance approval also prevents one person from completing and approving the same record.

Separate entry from approval

Site teams enter the daily details. Finance reviews differences, approves corrections and signs off the record.

Require evidence and explanation

Differences and adjustments remain open until someone has explained them and Finance has agreed the resolution.

Preserve every change

Daturu records submissions, amendments, reviews and approvals against the relevant business date.

01
Draft

Site prepares the record.

02
Submitted

Site sends it to Finance.

03
Reviewed

Finance investigates differences.

04
Confirmed

Finance signs off the day.

Accounting journals

Post routine PMS journals automatically. Review the End of Day journal first.

Daturu posts mapped PMS activity on a daily schedule. After Finance completes the End of Day review, an authorised user can post the full journal or selected entries.

PMS journal

Posted automatically each day

Daturu maps daily PMS activity to the correct accounts and posts the journal on a set schedule. This can include sales, deposits, in-house activity and ledger movements.
